New programme aims to ‘Kickstart’ businesses across Mid and East Antrim

The new business Kickstart Programme is an exciting new initiative, led by Mid and East Antrim Borough Council, to support start-up businesses.

Working in partnership with enterprise agencies across the area, the new business Kickstart Programme will add to the suite of support already on offer by targeting businesses in their first year.

The programme will offer specialist mentoring support and interactive workshops to assist those seeking, or with, commercial premises in the Borough.

Mayor of Mid and East Antrim, Councillor Paul Reid, said: “We are delighted to announce details of this initiative which will add to our existing suite of business start platforms including the GoForIt Programme. ‘Kickstart’ aims to further inspire and support budding entrepreneurs and innovators, providing them with the skills and knowledge to help make their visions reality.

“Growing our economy is Council’s top priority in Mid and East Antrim, as set out in our Corporate Plan. ‘Kickstart’ champions our new businesses and aims to draw on their experience and expertise to help educate and lay out pathways for our next generation of entrepreneurs.

“We are blessed with an abundance of talent throughout our Borough and ‘Kickstart’ will be crucial to harnessing those skills and potential, providing practical advice and guidance for start-ups and established businesses. Mid and East Antrim Borough Council has consistently demonstrated its commitment to creating a flourishing local economy and supporting economic development in our Borough.”
