Amplify Business Escalator clients win big at NI Wedding Awards 2019


We are delighted to learn that a number of Mid and East Antrim businesses have won awards at the 4th Northern Ireland Wedding Awards 2019.  Over 500 of NI’s elite wedding professionals gathered at The Crowne Plaza Hotel, Belfast on 27 January to acknowledge the best specialists and establishments in the wedding industry.

Winners included Amplify programme participants:

Carrickfergus based The Creative Wedding Fair winning Local Wedding Exhibition of the Year

Broughshane based Vera McCullough Jewellery winning Jewellers of the Year.

Kat Atkinson, owner of The Creative Wedding Fair said “following participation in Council’s Amplify Business Escalator programme, we have a clear plan for expanding the business, and with our recent win at The Northern Ireland Wedding Awards under our belts, we are confident that 2019 is going to be a fantastic year.” The Creative Wedding Fair are currently planning their 2019 exhibitions and preparing to launch an innovative new wedding directory, The Creative Wedding Book, which they believe will offer something new and dynamic for the national wedding industry and be an invaluable tool for couples from across the country who are planning their big day.

Vera McCullough, owner of Vera McCullough Jewellery said “in what is a highly competitive space I am thrilled to have won and to be recognised for my craft at such a prestigious platform as the Northern Ireland Wedding awards. Participating on Council’s Amplify Business Escalator Programme and the Larne Pop-Up shop initiative has undoubtedly supported me to raise greater awareness of my business to increase sales and grow.” There is exciting new plans in store for Vera McCullough Jewellery in the upcoming months with a new contemporary website planned for launch at the end of March, followed by their new designer range of jewellery scheduled for release before the summer.
