2.00pm – 3.30pm
Join International Synergies Northern Ireland as they discuss funding a sustainable business model. Elaine Kerr, Director, will cover the what, when, why and how of creating or pivoting to a sustainable business model
This presentation will be centred on how circular economy principles can ensure you have a sustainable business model. It will have a specific focus on the concept of Industrial Symbiosis where one company’s wasted or redundant resources can be reused and utilised by another, often in a completely different sector. Elaine will explain how Resource matching early in business setup and development can ensure you have a long lasting business model that achieves profitability, productivity and sustainability. Her presentation will include examples that demonstrate ecosystems, education, inclusion and policy.
Bill Andrew, Practitioner, ISNI will also showcase best practice examples – as he presents Learning from others in NI.
Bill will use case studies and live interviews with start up businesses that have demanded circular economy principles within their business model to demonstrate the wealth of opportunity that exists in NI. This will be an opportunity to hear and learn from others who have insisted on sustainable business modelling from the start or quickly pivoted to include it.
