Catalyst, in partnership with Mid and East Antrim Borough Council, were working with young people, from Northern Regional College and local companies to help design the perfect apprenticeship for our future generation of knowledge workers.

The world of work is changing and empowering our young people through apprenticeships and placements can set them on the right track with the right skillsets for the jobs of the future.  This event offered the opportunity for students to attend an informative and energetic day of design thinking and develop 21st Century skills.

‘Design the Perfect Apprenticeship’ was an immersive design-thinking workshop for students facilitated by Patricia Flannagan.  Students, teachers and prospective employers worked in teams ideating ‘The Perfect Apprenticeship’ and presenting their solutions and prototypes at the end of the day.

The event also included a presentation around the Catalyst “Generation Innovation” Work Experience Programme.
